Arp

Arp is a small town twenty miles southeast of Tyler which includes several waterfront communities on Lake Tyler East (the newer arm). Arp was a railhead for shipping fruits and vegetables. Today the population is about 1,000. There is a bank, a post office, an elementary, middle and high school, as well as service stations, a donut shop and restaurants like High Hill Farm,  Purple Pig, Grandma’s Kitchen and Thee Kafe. There are waterfront neighborhoods like Gordon’s Landing and East Lake Woods, as well as mixed-use subdivisions like Strawberry Addition and Hollywood Heights.
